Futaba Industrial Co., Ltd., History

Futaba Industrial Co., Ltd., is our parent company and has been an established automotive parts supplier since 1945. It has expanded to include 21 subsidiaries and three affiliated companies worldwide that develop and manufacture various products, although automotive parts remain the mainstay of its business. Futaba is committed to furthering its contribution to society through environmentally friendly manufacturing, aiming to enhance people's overall comfort and well-being.

Futaba Story

1945

Futaba Industrial Co., Ltd., established in Japan and started building fish netting machines and pipe-fabricated furniture

1948

Started production of automotive parts

1957

Nagoya Plant starts work on infrastructure for the mass production of auto parts

1959

Midori Plant increases auto-part production, the foundation of our current activities

1962

Established a research facility for the development, design, and construction of the Midori Plant

1968

Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the second section of the Nagoya Stock Exchange

1974

Started mass production of instrument panel reinforcements

1980

First in the world to find practical application for pipe benders

1989

Started mass production of stainless-steel exhaust manifolds

2004

Started mass production of DPFs (for commercial vehicles)

2006

Started mass production of exhaust heat recovery device POWEREV®

2015

Introduced the first hot stamping line and started mass production of hot-stamped parts

Started mass production of flat seamed mufflers & branched out into the field of agriculture, and started sales of CO2 storage and supply equipment
